Yes — paste a URL into the URL field. Note the browser can only read the pixels if that server allows cross-origin access, so uploading the file is the most reliable path.
It samples the outer frame of the image for pixels at or above 245/245/245 RGB. That is a practical approximation of a pure white background (255,255,255) and catches the most common failures like tinted or busy backgrounds.
