One export recipe for every Etsy image
- Export square and centered. Thumbnails crop to square, so keep the product and any text inside a centered square area of the canvas.
- JPG for photos, PNG for flat graphics. Photographs compress best as JPEG; flat artwork can use PNG as long as there is no transparency.
- Flatten transparency before export. Etsy turns transparent areas black. Composite your design onto white or a brand color first.
- Compress screenshots. PNG screenshots of digital products bloat fast. Convert to JPEG or compress to stay under 1 MB.
